Hello Rei and Reakly ! Thanks you thanks you for this exchange. Very interesting game. A model of the US_WM match up on CoH3, with both "Top Player" who know perfectly the mechanic's game. "Pride" for Rei => Yes, you had been very solid, as Reakly. Unfortunatly, this game shows balance problems :( !! Too Bad, theses players will deserves better. Look for tactics and details, now !! ... First, Both players begins with "standards" US and WM. Reakly choose a Pioneer first and he hope a good capture. Rei wants to stay "safe" on a "short" travel map (Faymonville) => Riflemen first only ... ... Second, 2min on the clock, Subtil, Rei use smoke and try a "trap". Rei wants to be violent immediatly (strategic plan, jump faster commander points). But Reakly is often a "cocky guy" and he stay on the trap with sneaky reinforcement :) => This game feels "good", immediatly !! ... ... Third, wing remove the smoke, LET'S GO !! The Manpower cost is the same, but Rei's option is a winning option with both Riflemen + US Scout, to face Both Grenadier + Pioneer. Howewer, Rei focus the Pioneer ... the lone unit with "green cover" and Reakly switch soldier on it => The "winning option" flies and Rei "Back up". Reakly made his best what he could, on the action, but he had been "lucky"... ... Fourth, galvanized by this issue, Reakly push immediatly and forget "Faymonville short coast to coast". Closest of his main base, back up and reinforces his Grenadier would be better => The "push" gonna fail, US Riflemen have just too many hp and power... ... 5th, The violent fight continue, on the east, on the west. Reakly's mine allow time, but the lone overpowered US Riflemen continue create "cost effective fight". Howewer, better organized and grouped, Reakly win the "map control" at 5min ... For a very short time... ... 6th, The game is "tought". And Reakly is confident, maybe a lot, and that invites him to the greediness. Reakly gonna "split" his WM army, trying to keep both sides. Reakly has forgotten WM are worse than US. After traditionnal 3 frontline units, Reakly choose sniper + T2 while Rei makes US Engineer + US Riflemen. Immediatly Rei "punishs" Reakly and retakes "map control"... ... 7th, 7min on the clock, the sum of the imbalance appears !! Rei, US Side, can call a T3 vehicle (M8 Scott), WITHOUT T0 upgrade and T3 Building ... at 7min (the joke's delayed vehicle by Relic Devs ??? ... no comments). In fact, Rei continued to build "infantry unit" because of that when Reakly need to prepare "AT options" (41 canon or PzSchreck in his mind)... ...8th, always 7min on the clock, Reakly does not know it, yet => the WM game is "over", already... Indeed, Reakly used 1 Mine + 1 Grenade + 1 Detector + 1 Flamethrower (140 ammunitions). This is not crazy but it is already too many. With the lost "map control", ammos don't come, and Reakly stay "stuck" with a 221(without 41 canon) and a Jager (without PzSchreck). Rei's top player use M8 Scott to stop movements of Reakly's WM and Rei provides free damages while Reakly have "no option" to respond. Rei will keep "map control" (VP and Resources) and flies on the "victory" way with the blocus offered by more and upgraded US Riflemen, supported by M8 Scott, when Reakly's WM stay stuck with unavailable upgrade Grenadier ... ... Finally, to resume, Rei wins the game on "unbalanced" issues. He found it while Reakly had not considered it. So, "GG WP" for Rei. However, this game frustrates me a little. I would like the WM are better balanced (vs Allied). These both players deserve to be able to express their excellent level beyond a simple "early game" !!
