Hello Mentoss and Dariusluck. Thanks you for this exchange. Usually i comment high skilled level players. But this time, i wanted to watch underdog level players. Mentoss gives us the honor of sharing one of these victories. So, i gonna stay focus his job to help him to make better. Well, here go, tactics and strategies !! I check the game before learn more ELO and experience of both player. Immediatly, on early game, Mentoss shows he have more experiences on "team game"(2v2, 3v3, 4v4) than 1v1. 1v1 game offers 3 lines of fight. Team game offers 1 lines of fight. So, here, Mentoss needed +1 Pioneer before T1, and certainly not a risky MG soon. This is a thing about 1v1 map tactic. WM is the worste army of CoH3 on early game. So you need to capture enough quickly to control your half side, because you cannot sure to keep it well. So 3 Pioneers needed. In second time, we need to talk about tactics (map, managment of army, managment of fights). To win a game on CoH3, you need enough resources (for technoligies, upgrade, using abilities) and the map control, for tickets. This is the reason why 1v1 is really harder than others. The number of your units is not enough to control the large 1v1 map. While versatility is important, the mobility of the main army remains the first tactical key to be respected (here, MG too soon cannot allow). Now, how manage 3 lines of fight, when your army can just manage one ??? The tactical map intelligence and army management are required. Generally, 3-4 min on the clock, the first main fight begins. So, your army work together, and only 1 unit gonna capture aera when you forces opponent back up. If your opponent have very good level on tactics, he makes the same things, and you need chance and better tactical field management (positions, covers, flank actions etc...). If your opponent is low on tactics, he have splitted too much their units. So it is pretty easy to win the fight, and slightly takes the control of the map (resources, and tickets). Here, Mentoss does not have theses knowledges. He fights everywhere, but with nothing, and no power. Fortunatly for Mentoss, Dariusluck makes worse, and he is none-existent on the multitasks gameplay. So Mentoss was not challenged, here, and he was not punished. Now, we can talk about strategies (Doc choice, build order, versatility of combined army for each 3 phases (early, middle, late game), counter options in the right timing). On the early game, you need to win the fights, in a good time, not too long. 3 Pioneers + 3 Grenadiers offers the best WM options. MG can be flanked (not 360° fire, time to mount and dismount). Mortar have a too poor damage, to poor velocity, and cannot opposite a frontline. Sniper have too poor life and need too many time to build. But, with this combination, cover and house, we can stay stuck. So Flamethrower (AoE damage, increase on a house), unlock the issue. When middle game appears (6-7min), Fast vehicule tactics appears (High damage, High velocity for flank actions). So, you need to complete your army with 2 units who offers the natural counter. Why 2 ? Because you need to be lethal (punish opponent choice, and use immediatly your high number of frontline infantry to keep map control advantages). 1v1 here, ATGun bad option !! Why ? Not shoot at 360° (bad time reaction on flanking actions), no efficiency on infantry frontline (if the opponent ignores strategic rules and builds more infantry, you gonna be surround), if the fight is losen ATGun cannot "back up" and falls down in the opponent pocket. In 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, you manage only 1 line, if your friends are not suck. So you can react well and enough quickly. But in 1v1, flank action cannot predict. So ATGun is not allowed. After that, the second part of middle game need POWER. The opponent army begins to come back on the field with high numbers units, maybe support unit (like MG, Mortar, ATGun mistake). So you need to create forbbiden cover aera with indirect fires, or AoE action. On WM middle game, this is the Stummel, StuG D (not G), or a couple of mortar (2 because 1 is not enough powered, DPS needed to create a low time fight). As you search efficiency, WM Tank doc, or WM Tiger doc, offers the best (because stobtruppen come in same time, without Manpower unnecessary cost of T4, and add +1 more frontline unit, to protect your Power support unit). Of course, the support power unit built can be change. For example, MG is good if opponent knows only assault infantries like Ranges. Normally, if you manage well, your main army continue to win fights. Just 1 lower unit capture after wins, when the main army continue to chase opponent units on the line of stars, or deeper, if you already have reach that.

15-16 min on the clock, the late game come. Normally, if you are good on skills, tactics and strategies. Your victory is already maked, with map control, anticipated counter attack opponents movements, etc... Now, your power is really well, your opponent suffers about high damages and low numbers units because of reinforcements cost, during the both first phases. You can finish to complete your combined army with mobility (Tanks). Carefull, the presence of Tanks on the field degrades Manpower income. Do not be a cocky confident guys with your infantries frontline. If not, you cannot rebuild them. Without your frontline, to fix the fights, your support units cannot deliver damages. If the opponent have not given up, your map control of stars gonna finish the job quickly (between 5-10min). Well, for Mentoss on his game, we can see Mentoss have not theses knowledges. So slightly, he gonna loose the middle game, the late game, and his map control. But Dariusluck have a really really poor multitasks, and tactics fights/positions. So Darius gonna suffers on each little fight, and let's so many units on his main base, for so long time ... Without that, Dariusluck left the stars to Mentoss, and Mentoss gets a Pyrhuus victory, with more damages than his opponent. So Mentoss, you need to read and understand what i say you to be a stronger player in 1v1. With all theses keys, you gonna allow to wins more easely, faster, and against stronger player than Dariusluck. Guys, Good luck and Have fun on CoH3 ;) !!!
